I saw him perform with John Surman back in 1988, I think. Just a great drummer/percussionist.

I'd have thought the fairer distinction is is between employer and employee - a partner in a law firm (whether it's an LLP or not) is an employer.

No-fault eviction only applies to Assured Shorthold Tenancies (i.e. for 6 or 12 months) - a "long lease" is probably for a term of 99 years minimum and possibly 999 years. If you bought a flat that's what you would get.

The Monkees were (of course) manufactured but under the circumstances it's pretty hard to argue against the record company's decision to source much of the band's material from the Brill Building.
That said, Mike Nesmith did write Different Drum and had a solo career of his own post-Monkees.
