Oh! and one more at Soda Lake. Few minutes later (09:05PM) the red was starting to fade and a green band grew in intensity.
Didn't realize I was on "Night Mode" so the settings were ISO 2000 and 0.4998 sec exposure.

My two apps showed 0% chance of seeing the aurora when I was actually staring at it. Lol

Sorry, depends on light pollution too. Fallon doesn't have much.

Try pointing you camera north and take a long exposure. Even in town, you can see the red through the clouds.
