Also, as with most of the internet, Lucy, as a character, gives me some VERY confusing feelings.

I feel in the minority in saying that I like Everhood 2 more than the first one. Sure, the overarching narrative isn't as 'deep' as the first one, but it's exactly the kind of disjointed a-la carte story arc adventure I loved in Legend of Mana all those years ago, and the music still slaps.

God I love Jon Lovitz. I'd do HORRIBLE things for a revival of the Critic.

(Was hoping to redo this comment with audio working, because no audio on a Franklin Sherman clip is a crime, but apparently no audio is the default. C'est la vie.)

Played this for the first time in a while last night after not sleeping for 52 hours. Turns out it CAN get funnier and more bizarre than it already was.

Still wholeheartedly recommend (Maize, I mean, not the sleep deprivation. Don't try it, kids, it's a bad way to live.)

Learn more about me: Favorite Cartoon of the day - Johnny Bravo, otherwise known as "Where my brain goes whenever I hear someone on the net use the term 'himbo'."

The adventures of a narcissistic, VERY dumb man who nonetheless remains loveable in his failed romantic pursuits.

Alternatively to the code, there's also this QR code to join the same.

Here be Maximilian (Brown floofer doing the Snoopy impression with his dish) and Lucky (Our polite and lanky boy).

I have to stress that I've never, even -once- considered getting a game on day one of early access before now, because it's a testament to just how much I LOVED the demo for Sworn that I'm going to be doing exactly that.

Sorry, wallet-kun. The spirit is willing, but the Arthurian fan is weak.

Man do I feel this. Got like 82 games installed on my Ally waiting for me to finish.

And yet, I'll be browsing the steam sales and adding to that number anyway.

Game of the Day: Star Ocean: the Second Story

My favorite bit of this one is the large, modular cast, complete with bonding events. Which Other games do, but Star Ocean 2 was one of the first.

The first time I heard Rena cry "CLAUDE!!" in anguish when he went down in a fight is a core memory.

Every now and then, I play a game for a half hour and immediately go "Oh noooo...I'm going to put hundreds of hours in this, aren't I?"

Dynasty Warriors Origins is the newest one of these.

OC? Multiple weapons, branching paths? Choosing which officers to hang with?

I'm doomed.

Don't forget this solid gold "Jotaro is so badass it's actually kind of dorky" moment.

I love the Ace Attorney Investigations games so very much, because playing as Edgeworth is shaking up the usual Ace Attorney dynamic - he's the only sane man in the looney bin that is the Ace Attorney universe.

And it also means twice as much of the lovable oaf that is Gumshoe.

GoTD: Bloomtown: A Different Story

Only a couple hours since I picked it up, but I feel safe with a recommend.

It's basically Persona by way of Stardew Valley with a hint of Earthbound. EXTREMELY close to Persona, but original through tone and setting.

And it has a buff corgi, because why not.

Side note, Ghost Trick also has one of the best doggos in gaming. Missile is the very GOODEST of bois.

Game of the Day: Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective

The fact that this game hasn't had a sequel is a grave injustice. Part Ace Attorney Investigations, part poltergeist, this game has an art style I positively adore, really fun characters, and an amazing sense of humor.

Please, Capcom? Just one more?

Game of the Day: Anton Blast

I admittedly still haven't played Pizza Tower, but Anton Blast is very much in the same vain. Frantic, fast, ridiculous, and visceral - feels a bit like old school Sonic with more Cartoon Explosions.

Also, the villain is essentially the "red guy" from Cow & Chicken.

Me: "Yeah, got myself an ROG Ally, so I can game on break without lugging my laptop to work."

Coworker: "Oh, tight, now you'll have time to finish Elden Ring and Space Marine 2 like you've been saying."

Me: "....Yes, that is exactly the plan."

Game of the Day:
Stubbs the Zombie: Rebel Without a Pulse

A loveable zombified Salesman explores a future city in pursuit of a woman he falls in love with through her commercial.

I've heard that Dead Rising is the quintessential "Silly Zombie" game, but I'd argue Stubbs has it beat in sheer goof.

Book of the Day: The Last Dragonlord, by Joanne Bertin

Weird, but in a fun way. The best way I can describe it is "Fantasy X-Men with dragons."

A girl and her brother, both "talents" (People with superpowers) escape enslavement and find refuge in a minor Lord's fortress.

And there are dragons.

Man, I've been so stoked about messing around in Dofus 3.0, and the Ankama store is STILL &#@£∆ing refusing to let me subscribe.

Ankama, if you're reading this: Do I have to SNAIL MAIL you people my debit card or something? TAKE MY MONEY.

Anime of the Day: Howl's Moving Castle

I don't care how low people rank it on tier lists, it's still my favorite Ghibli. And Billy Crystal as Calcifer does NOT factor into that a lot.

(Narrator voice: It did, in fact, factor into that a lot.)
