The escalation is a *function* of the unpopularity. A president in the first few months of their term should be able to get their policy priorities through normal legislative means rather than by sending armed troops to quell protest.

You genuinely cannot make it clearer as to why the LA protests are going to inevitably be seen as a bad thing by the majority of the country and achieve literally nothing than this. Can you even convince people to create a unified front or is fascism just going to take over out of their stubbornness

Can anyone explain to me how Trump can deploy troops to Los Angeles no matter what the governor or mayor say, but somehow it was Nancy Pelosi who needed to send the National Guard to DC on January 6th and Trump was powerless to do anything about it?

Trump wants to complain and screech about flags and masks, while his people and agents are shooting reporters and protesters, beating people on the ground with sticks on horses, and threatening to use Marines on protesters. Tell me, who are the true rioters? Who is escalating violence? The feds.
