The Neurological Alliance of Scotland is an umbrella body of organisations that represent people with a neurological condition and those who support them. We work to improve the care and support that people receive.
Our next policy group meeting is on Weds 5 November, chaired by Dr Claire Winchester, Head of Information and Engagement at the MS Trust. We'll also be joined by Liam McArtur MSP to discuss the Assisted Dying (Scotland) Bill.

NAoS member, Compass Therapy Support, are hosting an open day at their centre in Edinburgh from 2-4pm on Thurs 20 November.

Compass support people with neurological conditions to maintain their physical and mental wellbeing.

Delighted to announce Shelley Gray, member of the Scottish Human Rights Commission, will be joining our AGM on 24 Sept as our guest speaker. Shelley will cover the work of the commission, what taking a 'human rights-based approach' to policy means and how we can use human rights in the third sector.

1 in 3 carers who responded to the My Neuro Survey said that they are unable to manage their own health and wellbeing, with over half (53%) living with a long-term health condition of their own.

69% of carers who responded to the My Neuro Survey said that mental health services were not meeting their child's needs.

A further one in five children cannot access any mental health support at all.

This is unacceptable.

We don't know enough about why different neurological conditions happen to us. By understanding the mechanisms behind various neurological conditions, researchers can develop new treatments and therapies to improve the quality of life of those affected. #InvestinNeuroResearch

NAoS were happy to join the Minister for Public Health and Women's Health, Jenni Minto MSP, at the the Women's Health Plan Lived Experience Group Development Day yesterday in Glasgow.

Jenn and Alice were there to advocate for brain health to be included in the next iteration of the plan.
