OK touch-wood, rumours of Mirror's Edge being a little janky on modern systems and particularly difficult to stream/record look like they're greatly exaggerated. I'm going full-send and shall try to stream it in 30mins! Not played it for a very very long time! twitch.tv/nethesem

So I'm playing Palworld, and saw this interesting scene... I was exploring this area fairly quickly, so this neat grid of sleeping Foxparks spawned at night and instantly went to sleep, staying perfectly in grid and alignment with the spawn points.

This is what greeted me when I turned on my work PC this morning. This is Edge on default settings (I don't use it). How is the average person supposed to make sense of this screen?
At a technical level, Edge is completely fine, but my god the default experience is awful to look at.

Ellie series 2 my beloved... I've missed having one of these. Expensive, but feels so much more premium. Rear paddles make stick-clicks so much nicer, and all other buttons can be remapped for Nintendo controls, or games that won't let you customise.

Finished Half Life: Alyx. It is indeed, the pinnacle of VR gaming. The 3rd act is a hell of a ride.

I recorded a talking-head video where I read a script whilst NVIDIA Broadcast's Eye Contact filter made it look like I was looking at the camera the whole time. There are some... interesting... artefacts. Probably won't use it again, but neat experiment and proof of concept😅

Gosh. I was aiming for 1hr50min tonight. Smashed PB twice in a row. Granted the PBs were super scuffed anything-will-do-just-to-get-splits runs, but still, I didn't think my current route could go this low this easily. 1hr35 definitely possible without doing big skips.

Practising my Ori and the Blind Forest speed running. Just doing full-game at the moment, I think I can get down to 1hr50min, but my target is 1hr30, and that's going to require me to learn at least the Mistywoods/Forlorn skip.

My custom PCBs arrived so I've started assembling my new VR FBT trackers. Bigger than my old ones, but easier to charge, vastly superior sensor, and bigger straps for better stability. Testing tonight was very successful - just got to assemble the rest of them!

Resuming my playthrough of Half Life 1: Black Mesa over on Twitch in 20mins! So far a solid experience, although some of the impact of the original is lost in the richer graphics. Either way, the Lambda labs await!
