Where’s the boss?

I wrote about the increasing wealth gap in remote work for @nytimes. The datapoint that really made me think? Employment for people with disabilities rose by 22% during the pandemic…due to remote work.

Why go backwards?

so, perhaps the discussion dems should be having is “was taking advice from UK labour & geoff ‘stop saying weird & tack to the center’ garin a big mistake & should we instead do the thing 6 years of data backs up & be loudly pro-body autonomy like andy beshear was when he won kentucky by 30 points?”
“There was no drop in margin among late deciders who saw ads attacking Democrats on transgender issues, and a one-point drop among late deciders who didn’t see them”
Republicans spent over $200 million on trans-related attacks. Some Democrats worry they’re committed to unwinnable positions.

Other narratives that would have emerged if Harris won (and did after Biden won):
—Should Democrats throw trans people under the bus?
—Are Dems the party of identity politics too much??
—Who will think of the white men??

It doesn’t matter who wins an election. You will hear these ideas regardless.

I am always struck by how “Are Democrats too elitist?” would have ALSO been the narrative had Harris won.
the trump campaign was literally bought and paid for by the wealthiest people on the planet — openly! — and dim-witted pundits are going on about how voters are tired of "elitist democrats"
