Can’t wait for this series! I’m looking forward to some sci-fi with a comedy edge to it. Or is this a comedy with a sci-fi edge? 🤔

I had a critical rendering function start producing weird results. I looked at the code over and over but couldn’t find the problem. I noticed a spot on the monitor and went to wipe it off. That was no spot! It was a period that got added into the function code by mistake. What a frustrating bug!

Just put in the Star Raiders cartridge and the Ataris sold themselves. 😉

Check out the Studio Ghibli film, “Pom Poko” for ideas. Though it is centered around Japanese Tanuki “raccoon dogs,” they make some authentic noises in the film when they are in animal form.

If you ever confront a raccoon they can make super scary growling and hissing noises.

Sure! Let’s see… Late one night I awoke to otherworldly chittering noises outside. I was sure that aliens had landed. Turns out it was a group of raccoons socializing at the edge of the swimming pool.

😆 Yes… yes it does.
But every incremental piece you get working is an inspiration to keep plodding forward.

I already love this game! Don’t forget that raccoons have a wide vocabulary of amazing vocalizations. Adding sound effects to your little crime bandit will give it a whole new range of expression and personality. The hard part is tempering how much and how often so the sounds don’t become annoying.

So peaceful and inspiring, evoking early Kitaro and Vangelis vibes. ❤️ The pacing of the video is perfect.

During the fires in northern California we learned this lesson the hard way. You can cause permanent damage to your lungs breathing in wildfire smoke. Get out your Covid mask and wear it! Also, get those home air filters cranking to keep your home air safe.

Typing on the chicklet keyboard wasn’t easy. But we programmed games on it in our high school computer lab. The PET design was so modern for the time. You can still see them today used as movie set decorations. #nostalgia #computerhistory #retrocomputing
