I think most people do know a trans person & probably don't know they do. B/c I know a dozen at least, and I live in West Virginia, hardly a haven for progressive thinking. I told an anti-trans co-worker he needed to shut up, b/c someone listening to his rant may be trans, & he never peeped again.

I watched the Wicked movie musical on NBC and it was great.

I can't even sneak Cartoon Network anymore because they took it off my parents' cable plan and moved it in with the sports package. :( Because Xfinity is evil throw rocks at them.

Ranting into the void but I do love movies. And musicals. And movie musicals. Just life is so hard lately and everything costs so much and I'm so broke and I miss TCM. :( I wish I could just stream TCM, I'd pay for that.

That being said I'm really wanting to see the movies. 👀 Just been too broke to go to the movies. Movies are so damn expensive. Maybe I'll be able to afford to go see Wuthering Heights and I know I'll hate that for sure because Cathy is terrible. But I'll ENJOY hating it.

One of my theatre professors said once that spectacle can sell anything, but it can't make something good that's not already good WITHOUT spectacle.

And I said I thought it felt like a man trying to write women (which it is.) Which I guess isn't inherently bad, but I didn't relate to it at all, 🧵

My seats weren't great, and I'm hard of hearing, so maybe that's on me, but I was mostly confused and felt they were trying to do too much. (I love the music and costumes of course.)
