I may be overanalyzing (except that’s unlikely when it comes to a very visually symbolic story like ALNST), but I do think Luka is meant to have a similar aesthetic to Phan. He even has a (more metaphorical) blank face, similar to their literal void of a face.

Finally put two and two together and realized that not only were his legs initially bound, but so was the rest of his body. He likely only became free of his restraints during the plane crash. Mantis honey I’m so sorry for the dehumanization you were subjected to, you never deserved that.

Ever since I started playing it, I’ve been thinking about it nonstop. My only regret is that I bought it on sale rather than full price, and the potential sequel (🤞) would be an instant buy, no questions asked.

I can’t begin to tell you the amount of times I had to stop and stare at the story-rich environments, the visuals a masterclass in stomach churning dread and beauty alike. The game was an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish, baring itself to me and asking me to do the same in return.
