Thinking about my old lm AU concept where they didn’t meet when they initially did, instead only coming into contact 3 years after they initially would, with Eli as a still very bitter part of motherbase and Mantis as a still very much trapped weapon for SF (but hey, he’s SLIGHTLY more verbal)

I may be overanalyzing (except that’s unlikely when it comes to a very visually symbolic story like ALNST), but I do think Luka is meant to have a similar aesthetic to Phan. He even has a (more metaphorical) blank face, similar to their literal void of a face.
