All courtesy of Trump, Elon Musk, DOGE, and 19-year-old “Big Balls”. How will the history teachers even begin to cover this some day?
After media reports & experts warned for months that drastic & sudden cuts at the Nat Weather Service by Trump could impair their forecasting ability & endanger lives during the storm season, TX officials blame an inaccurate forecast by NWS for the deadly results of the flood.

I had campylobacter in 2017 (we believe it was from our backyard chickens). It was the sickest I’ve ever been in my life and was hospitalized for 3 days (only time in my life I thought maybe dying was a better option than how I felt)
There’s a statewide recall of raw milk here in PA because it’s contaminated with Campylobacter jejuni.

Campylobacteriosis cases are linked to Meadow View Jerseys Dairy milk.

If only there was a way to avoid illness like that…

I taught history & wondered how these things happened in the past. Now I look at those past events with a whole new lens because now I know.
To be in public office right now is to constantly ask yourself: How do I make sure I'm standing on the right side of history?

There's a simple answer.

The wrong side of history will always tell you to be afraid - the right side of history will always expect you to be brave.

Thank you for saying to his face what all of us are thinking.

When I taught history to high students, we always wondered how on earth could so many people follow in lock step with evil people like Hitler. I still don’t understand, but now we’re living through it and it’s heartbreaking and scary as all hell. But we can’t be cowards and we must face it head on.
Pritzker: If we don’t want to repeat history, then for god’s sake, in this moment, we better be strong enough to learn from it.

“Voters 50-plus put their weight behind Republican Trump over Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris. These voters favored Trump over Harris, 52 to 47 percent, according to AP VoteCast.” - AARP, 11/7/24
For those who grew up in the 1960s/'70s, Trump's 1st week was especially painful and disorienting. His dictates were an all-out assault on the civil rights wins of that era, from Selma to Stonewall, ripping up the narrative of our lifetimes.

Now what? My new column www.inquirer.com/opinion/comm...
Children of the 1960s watch in pain as the story of our lifetime is erased
For boomers, the rapid reversal of 1960s-era gains for civil rights, women, LGBTQ, etc., has unraveled the story of our lifetimes.

The situation should be very clear for the American establishment as well. And every credible media agency shouldn't call it just a "salute." It's a Nazi salute, full stop.
“For the German establishment, the situation was very clear.

“A Hitler salute is a Hitler salute is a Hitler salute,” the prominent German weekly Die Zeit wrote in an editorial. “There is no need to make this unnecessarily complicated,” the editorial said.”

What Elon Musk’s Salute Was All About (Gift Article)
A gesture associated with the Nazis has a surprising history. But in Germany, there was little doubt about its meaning.
