My friend’s funeral has me thinking about the importance of having truly queer-affirming churches where we can gather for important moments like marriages and the passing of loved ones so we can celebrate and mourn without needing to hide an important part of who we are.

20-years of working at the University of South Florida!!!
In 2005, Disney and the state universities were the only large employers in Florida which offered partner benefits. I sought , a position at USF because I knew I’d be safe if they found out I’m gay, and it’s become my home
