Last night a group of friends sang along with KPop Demon Hunters as we ate our way through the movie. As food appeared on the screen, we ate it.

My friend’s funeral has me thinking about the importance of having truly queer-affirming churches where we can gather for important moments like marriages and the passing of loved ones so we can celebrate and mourn without needing to hide an important part of who we are.

I felt like last Sunday was representative of my life.
In the morning I spent time working on a creative project
In the afternoon watched a session of General conference at a friend’s home
In the evening went to a drag show

20-years of working at the University of South Florida!!!
In 2005, Disney and the state universities were the only large employers in Florida which offered partner benefits. I sought , a position at USF because I knew I’d be safe if they found out I’m gay, and it’s become my home

At last night’s book club it quickly became apparent that one of us didn’t read Logan’s Run but watched the movie
“How crazy they all got regenerated at age 30”
“Um, you mean put to sleep at age 21.”

I live in Florida and there’s very few volunteer opportunities listed in Just Serve locally, but a friend in Utah opened Just Serve today and found a ton of opportunities including looking for someone to read tarot cards

A few years ago, I was told SLC actually has a pretty good gay scene by a LDS general authority who was trying to convince me to move to Utah 😂
Just thinking about that has me dying! No one would ever believe this was a real conversation.
