There's this Hunky Jesus statue at the Santa Barbara Mission in California. Up close he looks like an 8' tall Chris Hemsworth. I remember nothing about the mass I attended there, except my impure thoughts. Also a priest reminding me not to take pictures in a church on a Sunday.

I need my fellow GenX friends to confirm this is a really weird licensing choice from the Haring estate. I mean at least it’s not Sam’s/Walmart but ladies PJs? Why not car window suction cup bouncy outline dudes with dicks while we’re at it?

I thought it was well established that the female gaze preferred the Wolverine from the 1st Xmen movie. See also, Russell Crowe who was told by Ridley Scot “chunky is hunky” & begged not to get visible abs. Both these guys are in fantastic shape btw.

I took a couple hours off work for “turtle repatriation”. The ODFW person confirmed she was gravid & then took her to the back for what I’m sure was a spa day. Happy ending - a pic of the Western Pond Turtle whose continued existence is due in part to my generous removal of 1 gravid invasive turtle

Savvy readers will have noticed both the turtle’s species & my confident gendering, so this story has a bittersweet ending. OFDW were excited to get my call & asked for description, pics & measurements before they asked us to bring her in. You see the Red-eared slider is invasive in this area…

She kept circling the front yard and stopping by my door. She would “run” when I tried to pick her up though. Luckily I am still faster than a turtle so I was able to relocate her to the backyard & gave her some water while I called the ODFW to figure out what to do.

I do not blame him. This tree is TERRIFYING. I remember being traumatized by a disembodied pair of pants in one of the stories in the Sneetches & Other Stories book. Still gives me the creeps half a century later.

Just got back from the UK & a visit to my new fave museum - The Royal Armoury in Leeds. They have elephant armor! They let me hold a (replica) sword!

One of the many organ consoles at St Pauls. The organist is stored in the cupboard on the left when he is not playing. The right hand cupboard is for little toys like crayons, whistles, and wacky wall walkers the priest gives out for particularly interesting confessions.
