Make sure the less fun part of kittencare is included! (they need their butts wiped to stimulate defecating, as they can't do it on their own until IIRC 2 weeks in-- it's been a WHILE since I had to care for a tiny meowmeow so I'm not sure exactly what developmental step you're looking for)
