It's great, feels quite retro without falling to the usual pitfalls of classic RPGs.

Yeah, for some reason it feels like the rules are difficult to convey, but easy enough once you get going. And it's definitely a game where it can be over suddenly if you're not paying attention!

Yeah, that sounds very different to how I play. It's rapid rounds of "Everyone done?", "Ready to roll?" and then doing the thing. It feels very fast, which can be good, but also isolating!

I always loved the feeling of rolling a cup full of dice, but at times I feel it suffers from lack of player interaction.

Wildly unbalanced game at times, but always fun and memorable. The legacy edition is great too!

This page in particular really struck home. The series was fantastic, and I wish we saw more gay relationships between men depicted like this in media, with a strong emotional bond. You did a great job with it!

I like how they don't even specify what things from the past could stabilise society. Almost like they don't want to say it out loud.

I really do love the idea of playing Bianca, intentionally tanking the test, then Beguiling her to turn her into a henchman. Such an amusing combo.

I've been wanting to do Alessandra! My friend used her in Hemlock, but she was killed unexpectedly during The Longest Night.

Sister Mary is a shockingly good fighter despite her mediocre combat skill, my partner has used her twice now, both very strong decks.

Fully expecting to be doing a lot of fighting, given the material it's based on! I'm currently running a very fight-focused parallel Zoey, so I'll have to think on another fighting deck that feels different to play for Bloodborne.

Got this campaign printed out for Christmas, eager to play it once we're done with Dark Matter. How're you doing in the campaign so far?

There's plenty the games have in common, but also so many pitfalls if you try to rely too hard on DnD experience!

I really appreciate the 3 action system, seems to encourage more creativity than just "I attack/cast a spell".

I've run the Beginner Box a couple times now, and I still remember having to remind players that moving uses one of your 3 actions, not a seperate move action.
