The people telling the world they want to "have Greenland" and make Canada the "51st state" are suddenly really into respecting national sovereignty when it comes to the nation they want to serve as their fascist blacksite penal colony
Either the U.S. government *is* able to exert monetary and diplomatic pressure on El Salvador sufficient to produce Abrego Garcia’s release, or it isn’t.

The latter would be either a bald-faced lie or a pretty stunning concession of our national impotence. The Vice President should pick one.

“Believe the autocrat. He means what he says. Whenever you find yourself thinking that he is exaggerating, that is our innate tendency to reach for a rationalization. This will happen often: Humans seem to have evolved to practice denial when confronted publicly with the unacceptable.”

It’s really fascinating what happens when you remove diversity—white male incompetency is placed on full display and with no one to blame for their actions —so they just lie.

@maddow.msnbc.com You said tonight that trump never campaigned on NATO. He was very clear about leaving NATO. Seems like giving up NATO leadership would be a part of that.
His voters didn't bother to pay attention to readily available info. DT weaponized their ignorance. Neither get a pass.

To quote a former African colleague at a close out meeting of a USAID project: “This heartbreaking. How can one person [Musk] undo the work of so many people?“ That this action is backed by so-called Christians is an appalling hypocrisy. #USAID @altusaid.altgov.info

Opinion | Musk Said No One Has Died Since Aid Was Cut. That Isn’t True.
A journey through the front lines of global poverty shows that when the world’s richest men slash aid for the world’s poorest children, the result is sickness, starvation and death.
