Artists should be able to depict the whole breath of human experience. Transgressive art shouldn’t need to justify its existence. Attempts to sanitize transgressive art will always hurt marginalized creators the most.

Restricting the expression of sexuality through fiction and art made by adults, for adults – including those you find personally disturbing or offputting – is conservative censorship, full stop. When that censorship disproportionately affects subgroups, that's also discrimination. For shame.

Acting like fictional creations can or cannot give consent waters down the actual concept of consent. Prescribing rules or governance about fictional consent isn't a solution, it's a part of the PROBLEM
