A handful of tomatoes from the compost volunteers I planted in Spring! The heatwave and wrong pH has killed this section of the patch so I'll have to rebuild and replant it, but at least these were tasty.

I neglected this rose all year, then I pruned it 6 weeks ago and it's burst into bloom again! Haven't had much luck IDing it but I'll try to propagate some cuttings this winter.

Finishing off the atchara this morning! Just waiting for the pickle liquid to cool down a bit. My dad grew the papaya and I bought the capsicum from an Easter Show district exhibit, so it feels a bit special :blobOwO:

Bowled a spare so good I crashed Windows. Staff were lovely and chucked some vouchers at us to make up for it. Also someone in the lane next to ours was at the Ash show at the Manning Bar last year, small world

The weather improved once we got onto the island, and the junior rangers tour was both fun and enlightening! NPWS educators are such a fun nerdy bunch.

A tomato plant self-seeded in our front garden after the storms in early summer and got big enough to flop over on the ground, so I shrugged and staked it. Harvested about 2/3 of the tomatoes on the plant today, the rest are still ripening.

Hopped onto the light rail and it was a good time, despite the mundane route - we did some shopping, visited the library and went for a bushwalk. Will try going to the next stop another time since it's near the skate park and playground.

I've made decent progress on building the gabion bench in our backyard, so our friends came over for another rock painting crafternoon today. It's been really fun making these!
