I feel the only way to make a Thing sequel work without ruining the original is they make it only a loose sequel. So no arctic bases (they can acknowledge the events of the film, but that's it), no cameos of Kurt Russell or Keith David, just have the Thing creature in another location with new cast

And you shouldn't be expected to do this.
Veteran voice actors never had to do this to be considered successful, or considered *for a role*.
The more it's treated like an influencer gig, the less chances people who are focusing on *acting* get.

And now, with how much of the Hollywood “celebrity persona” lifestyle has begun to eke into the VO industry outside of the booth…I grow constantly concerned that what started as a performance craft will continue to demand more and more non-VO commitment to permit successes.

Legit makes me sad. I remember touring there as part of my college course back in 2006 and being in awe. So many great titles of the 80s and 90s that were part of my childhood, and now they'll just be a memory.
