Still, I got 85. And if you round it up, that's basically 90.

Beautifully filmed too. I was very excited about the locations, as it's a part of the country I've spent quite a lot of time in and have some fond memories of. I would recommend the Katsuura Marine Tower to tourists - like an aquarium, except all the fish are free in their natural habitat.

The climax is set there too! One of my favourite parts of the country.

I'm pretty sure one of the early scenes was filmed at the Katsuura Marine Park in Chiba. I've been there a couple of times - nice to see it randomly in a film!

Great poster though, you've got to admit.

This was fun. Started off slow, but built to a pretty good final act with some cool practical effects. I wish there were more cryptid found footage films set outside North America. Africa, Asia, The Middle East - lots of creepy cryptids to investigate!

The 90s Gamera films are some of the best the genre has to offer. He deserves a new 'Minus One' quality film.

I posted my thoughts in the quote tweet. Not bad, but not essential.

This one stood out as especially misogynistic, even compared to the standards of the genre.

And, it must be said, a main character who absolutely deserved to be killed. Horrible ending too. Just overall a deeply misogynistic film.

Interestingly, the phrase 'incestual necrophilic cannibalism', follows the rule of adjective ordering in noun phrases. Typically, the nature of the noun precedes the specific type. So here, the type of cannibalism is 'necrophilic', while 'incestual' denotes a more general description of it's nature.

Directed by Andrea Bianchi, better known for his Etruscan zombie flick Burial Ground, in which a creepy child (played by a creepy jockey) becomes a zombie and engages in incestual necrophilic cannibalism with his mother. A true artist.

Maybe I'm stupid, but I don't think this made sense? It felt like they had two different ideas for how they wanted the film to end, and then just did both of them.

Torso is great! I'm enjoying this one (planning to finish it this evening), but the print on Tubi is a bit rough and bleary. Makes it difficult to get into.
