bit conjectural, but yeah from my own experience half the toki pona community can barely speak the language, and its grown very normal to speak english in toki pona spaces, thats the main reason i dont interact with the community much
whereas from my experience with esperanto they do speak esperanto

yeah i was picturing counting the number of entrants into major scrabble events in both langauges
im not entirely sure what point youre making here but yes, when sonja compared spaces online she did her best to keep it the same, members on the biggest dicord servers, facebook groups, whatever

I said that she uses a strange definition of "speaker" and you confirmed that it's "self assigned." You objected that the page doesn't compare "speakers" - but that's beside the point. SHE compared speakers in a conversation with me. And it seems to me that you should compare SPEAKERS not spaces[c]

you said that it hasnt been quantified- when it has, and moved the goalpost to some word that sonja used. to be blunt, its the kind of awful thought process ive only ever seen used on twitter
if you wanted to argue that this way of quantifying it is invalid then that wouldve been a much better point
