When did "Lego" become a mass noun?
It was always "Legos" and "a Lego," but now I only ever see "Lego" and even "a piece of Lego," respectively.

My brain rejects it in the same way that it rejects referring to a sock as "a laundry"

Six hours and counting on a waiting room.
A couple MCU movies have played. I've never seen them and I'm not watching now, but they look terrible.

Visually, I mean.

It's like watching a bunch of children in their Halloween costumes run around in front of a green screen.

I just witnessed someone get their behemoth of a truck stuck while trying to park in a multi-level garage, looking exactly like Austin Powers getting that shuttle stuck in the hallway.

Blame the EPA for these things outgrowing the very roads that they drive on.

Kitty vomited in the middle of the night. That isn't unusual. What's unusual is the quantity of food from several hours before, followed by repeated vomiting and zero appetite.
Mark me down for zero appetite, too.
We're going to the vet, of course.
I'm scared.
She deserves only good things.

Got a Subaru this past week. Crosstrek.
I hate this car. I hate driving it.
I will never drive another Subaru after I finally get to sell the lease on this *twanging* car. It twangs.

The dealership wanted me to bring it in, then they didn't even look for the twang.

Never again. Fuck Tucson Subaru.

Just another blisteringly hot day in January, because obviously. This is "winter."

Selling a car for more than what you bought it for isn't supposed to happen, but here we are.

Every time I see someone talk about how awful Microsoft is making it, I'm reminded of how much I absolutely do not miss Windows at all.

Evidently, @mozilla.org is dedicated to making @firefox.com terrible and unusable.

I've been thinking a lot about the Hegelian dialectic.
While it may not be an explanation, it seems to help to illuminate how we wound up in such a dark place, characterized by such a stark opposition to anything that is not evil.

Whistle while you work?
No. Do not.
For all that is good in the world, do not fucking subject the people around you to your ear-stabbing bullshit.

I love chilly weather for a few reasons, not limited to:
1) the few weeks of relief from excruciating heat,
2) the opportunity to wear stylish jackets,
3) playing the game of "which jacket did I leave my wallet in?"

I realize my tone may seem facetious, but it's really not.

I'd like to see the term "anti-social" used more—in the sense that describes people who defy the social contract, who act in a way that is inconsistent with a functioning society.

To act in total disregard for others needs to be discouraged again, whereas it's self-rewarding otherwise.

I will never in my life understand why, the minute temperatures drop into the 80s, every business responds by saying, "Turn on the heater immediately!"

There is an inverse correlation between one's mental capacity and their enjoyment of country music.

Public libraries are awesome for when you want to be surrounded by screaming unattended children and the stench of human feces.

Is it unreasonably hot 50 weeks out of the year?
Yes.
To point out that it's hotter during 45 of those weeks doesn't make it any less so right now.

I'm of the opinion that 10 months of scorching summer heat every year are too many.

It bothers me that hiring a "professional" to do a job at your house doesn't mean much.

A while back, a friend had someone install a kitchen island; it was just some guy.

I want my house professionally cleaned? A couple random ladies show up to scratch the hell out of my counters.

It's wild to me that one of the requirements for a (graduate) degree can literally be "get a job."
Job-getting is already an insurmountable goal, but I have to convince a company to take part in the very education that I can only hope will help to make me employable.

I honestly do not understand why so many people seem to be convinced that merely standing is tantamount to inhumane torture.

You're just standing. It's not only fine, it's downright comfortable.

You're not making unnatural demands of your body.—Wait, maybe you are. Is this another posture thing?

I'm witnessing a group of young girls/women use the word "bro" to refer to each other with such frequency that is orders of magnitude more than the most stereotypical bro-dude had ever said it.
Holy shit.
