🚨 Watch out for these fallacies in the debate over the Dept. of Ed!

I’ve been hearing a lot of talk from students lately of the efficacy of mid-terms and finals as to how we learn. Does it help?
I gave up on them a few years ago and think they do not help learning but perhaps it depends on the subject matter. What do you think?

AI bias isn’t just a technical issue; it’s a societal one.
Who’s in power and who reports it can affect this when disinformation is spread.
Vaccines, RFK JR and HHS, for instance, is a concern.

Just did individual breakout rooms for my small class on the Future of Business. I spent a few minutes with everyone going over their final project to make sure they were on track. Best time spent this quarter.

Hick’s Law which points to decision fatigue happens often in the real world. Sometimes we need to give people less choice so they can make a decision.
