1/2 Organisations like this and the UK’s History Reclaimed, set up as part of the anti-BLM backlash, say they are merely protecting colonial figures from the harsh judgement of a more liberal posterity. More often, they are are actually defending those figures’ own actions & values.
Nothing like seeing one of Canada's eminent historians in conversation with a well-known British Empire apologist at an event hosted by the Canadian Institute for Historical Re-Education.
This is an abuse of history.
