A comic in which we open on master artist, god amongst men, creator of Garfield, Jim Davis. He sits at a graphic tablet, drawing his latest masterpeice. There is a look of happiness on his face, but the way he is underlit by the screen tells us something is off. Jim says: "HA HA, 'DID YOU EAT MY LASAGNA,' HA HA" In the next panel we switch to Jim's POV and see what's on the tablet's screen. There is a full colour drawing of Garfield. Jim's hand, holding a stylus, is obscuring part of the image, as he writes in Not-Heathcliff's dialogue. All that is written is "SM" The next panel is the same view, but now the dialogue is complete, and Jim's hand isn't visible, allowing us to see the image --and dialogue-- in full: "SMITE THE NON-BELIEVERS, JIM... BUILD ME A THRONE OF THEIR SKULLS" Final panel. Jim looks as weirdly happy as ever, but now his face is beaded in sweat. There is a beat, before he quietly says "y-yes... master"

Okay, the store page is back up, but only selling the stickers and fanzine (separate to the main book).

A paragraph has been added stating my art will be removed from potential reprints. However, there are still other artists whose work was printed without permission, and they won't be so lucky.
Highlighted paragraph (translated to English) which reads: "Temporarily exhausted. For sale only Joaquín Guirao's sticker pack and GARF fanzine. If I do any spins of the book again, it will be after removing John Cullen's pages, because he has asked me to."

I hope they aren't trying to pull shenanigans by advertising this as just being stickers, while still selling the book.

I am begging --*begging*-- people (especially if they are also artists) to have more cop on and ability to feel shame than this.

I was pretty curt with my reply (which I translated to Spanish):
"If you had asked for my permission, I may have said yes,in return for nothing more than a complimentary copy of the book. Since you did not, let me be clear: I do not give you permission to use --and profit off-- my work, and wish for my art to be removed from the book."

The art vs the artist's hand

To show you how bad damp can be in Ireland, I got this thing last week to try combat it.

See that indicator on the bottom right? The red mark shows when you're supposed to replace the filter.

It's supposed to last three months.
A mini dehumidifier thingy, which works via an absorbent brick slotted into the top. A container at the bottom is about a quarter full of blue-tinged water A closer look at the sticker on the bottom right. As the water fills the container, it "fills" in a meter on the sticker. It is already over halfway.

I got a best of Joy Division/New Order CD today, and gave it a listen.

'World of Motion' started playing, and let's just say it quickly got skipped, and will not be getting played again.
First paragraph from the Wikipedia entry for the New Order song, "World in Motion."
