Pascals Wager: Covid edition.
If I'm wrong, I've mildly disadvantaged myself by wearing a mask in public.
If you're wrong, you have played a part in spreading disease, disability and death to millions, possibly including yourself and your loved ones.
This is the story. I don't care about consensual sex acts between two older middle-aged men.
I am outraged that they are so casual in treating the suggestion that the Russians have Kompromat on a President, and worse, most people reading about this are only sniggering about the sex.

I was gardening on a hot and humid Brisbane summer, then went inside to have a bath. The sky was blue.
Out of nowhere, a bolt of lightning crossed the sky.
I was out of that bath like a racehorse from the gates, without any conscious input. I don't think I touched the sides.

Yeah, didn't feel safe.

My favourite way to consume dark chocolate is in a chocolate chip cookie, and that cookie dunked in coffee.

The accusation "Fake news" will always be associated with the fake president.

Yeah. Get him on the sex crimes. Don't let up on the cognitive function issues. Hammer him on his financial incompetency and his blatant acceptance of bribes. Catch all his corrupt cronies in the net and prosecute them until exhaustion.
Never forget the political cowardice that enables him.

Remember this story from last week? The Resolute Desk can be seen in the Oval Office in this photograph.

I don't normally defend Donald Trump, but I think it's important to keep to the truth in our allegations. Lord knows there's plenty of true things to complain about.

It's a replica. A desk impersonating the genuine Resolute desk, designed for a person impersonating a genuine president

Fifty thousand unnecessary deaths Every Year. Best case scenario is it'll be a year before different people are in Congress, then 6 months before they can make significant changes. It might take three or more years to make the required changes.
We're looking at 75k to 200k of unnecessary deaths.

I'm waiting for Venezuela to issue an international arrest warrant over the murder of their citizens. Most countries in the world will honour it. Trump and his cronies will be unable to travel.

FAFO indeed, Mr Hegseth.

People are compiling evidence.

This murderous regime will face consequences.

When Doctor Who named a minor character Scalzi, I presumed it was a tribute to you.

Maybe it was a tribute to a weatherman.

I'm decended from a person named in Henry VIII's court. My ancestors include a lawyer who wrote a significant British law book, and a stream of vicars.
My other side comes firmly from Yorkshire. White skin, blue eyes, light brown hair.
Am I English? Hell no.
Fifth generation Australia/New Zealand.

The version I heard - anecdote, not verified - is that when he arrived in his unit, it was full of Bangladeshi, Nepalese, Pakistanis, etc, with the same story. Police had found drugs that had been planted on them. They were offered a period of army service to have the charges dropped.

The only way I can listen to his voice is if a comedian lipsynchs it.
I refuse to give him the dignity of presuming, for even a moment, that he has something serious to say.

You know, I genuinely don't know if this is Trump's voice being lipsynched or not.

It's so ridiculous.

It's very clever either way.
