I remember when there was a discussion on Twitter about Shein's manufacturing practices and some apologists invented all sorts of fantastical machinery and technology to avoid facing the more horrifying truth. Reminds me of this comedian's joke.

More like it offends their liberal sensibilities about decorum and "proper channels". I found the position really insulting as it infantilized the detainees and elevated the progressives as their paternalistic defenderss. It was a wholly self-serving complaint.
