Those lots are back up for sale and neighbors on Davidson tell me the owners are due back in court for illegal dumping, dilapidated structures, etc.

We ended up replanting everything the builder's "landscaper" planted with an eye towards more native species. We have milkweeds, a couple sweetbay magnolias, and a sycamore. They are all thriving with virtually no maintenance.

From what I've learned (thanks to @yellowbrickurban.com), Belle Meadeians (Meadenites?) doing everthing they can to keep people out seems very consistent with the "historic character" of the neighborhood...
