My first home was a townhouse in Park at Melrose (PaM) in 12 south. PaM was built in 2007 and consists of 65 townhomes and 174 condos on a roughly 10 acre site (a little more than 2 square blocks). And let me tell you, 12 South went to absolute crap. Completely destroyed property values...
64 homes in the $300s or 30 in the $600s. These conversations happen hundreds of times per year in our county and what happens is up to the district council member each time.

The one time an at large member tried to do something about it, she basically was tarred and feathered for it.
With housing costs on the rise, and the city expected to again fall woefully short of building the number of units needed in the next decade, Nashville officials are pushing a series of localized and countywide zoning changes. In some cases, neighborhoods are pushing back.

According to preliminary recommendations released Friday, Metro would target new zoning districts allowing for triplexes, quadplexes and even larger missing middle developments like courtyard apartments at certain blocks in certain parts of town.
