Cooked breakfast plus a latte for less than a tenner. Complete Deadwood (minus the movie) on blu for £11. So far so good, Sunday :-) *latte arriving in a tall glass and chef looking miserable as they delivered my plate all somehow adding to the good atmosphere
An old school looking laminated menu with an all day English breakfast for £7.70 (1 fried egg, 2 rashers of bacon, 1 sausage, 1 hash brown, plus bean, mushrooms, black pudding, grilled tomato, and a slice of toast).

A poem that I wrote. GREEN MAN He speaks in leaves That grow from his tongue. Oak and birch and ivy, of Rowan and hazel and beech Ancient dialects of green and brown Of bark and sap and stem Blossoming… His voice is the creak of branches, And the whisper of wind in the trees An earthy susurration A throaty cry His words are a riddle that offers wild sanctuary. I accept And open my mouth to taste them.

Weather-worn gravestones and carved stone face (the teeth just visible in the mouth slightly creeped me).
Carving on a gravestone from the early 19th century. It appears to be an angel or cherub. The face is surprisingly plump so it looks a little Boris Johnson-ish. Weather worn gravestone from St Bartholomew's Church Newbiggin, right by the sea. The carved upper section shows a woman who seems weary or bored. The lower portion where the text would have been is illegible as it is deeply pitted by the blasting of wind, rain and sand coming off the north sea. What remains looks more like coral reef. A weatherworn carved stone face. The nose has entirely worn away but in the shadows of the mouth, teeth a visible, in remarkably good condition compared to the rest of it.

Weatherbeaten stone in the churchyard of St. Bartholomew's at Newbiggin-by-the-sea, Northumberland.
The surface of a stone in a wall which is deeply pitted and cleft by the action of wind, rain and sand to look almost hand moulded/sculpted.
