Interested in politics and polling, dislike Musk, correction I despise him for what he's done to political discourse and twitter
Madness fan, but in the group sense!
Shows my age, this was my immediate thought

But it does tax the rich and even contains a actual wealth tax (with a lower threshold than yours)
It transfers money from the richest to the poorest
Were you asleep in it?

The trouble is it's very difficult to find the evidence, they hide their links so well...

This measure is just one of many that Labour are rightly bringing forward to raise money from those with the broadest shoulders
It's a surprise of how many of these policies were opposed by so called progressive parties
November 20, 2025 at 10:59 AM
Surely you need to post one of the libdems totally unbiased 'winning here'
Graphs as below from the 2024 Cambridge election
(Just for the record the actual result - Labour got 46%, libdems 20%, Greens 16%)

I've been critical of the BBC for their over coverage of Farage, but if it comes to choosing between the BBC and Trump, then there is no choice
November 15, 2025 at 7:28 AM
There isn't a single bandwagon you won't jump on
The BBC have said they won't pay it
Trump has no chance of winning in court
Find yourself another jetski

Can you confirm the below
If so it gives me a different impression of what and how it was said from what I read from journalists earlier reports

They are getting on with those things
An example - Tax rises on the wealthy

Nothing about Ed Davey?
November 6, 2025 at 12:46 PM
It's especially annoying that when Labour have taxed the wealthy, such as agricultural land tax, private school fees etc some so called progressive politicians object to it
List of Labour taxes on the wealthy below but in reality most people will need to pay more tax
November 6, 2025 at 12:17 PM
Especially as have already and quite correctly put taxes on the wealthy
November 5, 2025 at 10:55 AM
She has already raised a lot of taxes on the wealthy and suspect more to come
November 4, 2025 at 12:03 PM
Along with many other taxes on the wealthy, Labour is increasing taxes on private jet travel by 50%
October 22, 2025 at 7:07 AM
Agree, plus big increases in the minimum wage and lots of other taxes on the wealthy - clearly a right wing agenda...
October 17, 2025 at 10:58 AM
Neidle specifically references Spain's wealth tax, it raised just €619m in 2023.and even less the following year

As a comparison Labour have increased taxes by £40b this Parliament and many of those rax rises were on the wealthy
