Apologies for the sarcasm but I can't help myself. It's probably best to assume I'm being sarcastic unless there's a frowny face.

Descriptions of pictures available but as 99.99% of people who look at my profile can see, I'll wait for requests.
There were only about half a dozen NAZI supporters who wanted to march.

The police could handle them.

They've defined it as a war & so I don't think they consider due process to be relevant.

The danger from Li-ion batteries is their energy density.

They store a lot more energy than previous technology & so can lead to more intense fires.

Just because they don't think much of Trump doesn't mean they have much sympathy for drug dealers.

John Paul Getty (1960s) still managed to accumulate a billion dollars in the high tax era.

That was 0.1% of GDP while Rockefeller's wealth was 1-2% of GDP in 1913.

I don't know about Christmas lights but I didn't think any toasters worked on battery power.

You misread my post. I wrote “an”, not ”my”. I don’t have an accountant!

I spoke to a friend who just happens to be an accountant.
November 9, 2025 at 4:25 AM
I spoke to an accountant I know about the issue & his opinion was that people who earn a lot generally pay a lot of tax or there are good reasons why they can't.

Have you looked at each case in detail?

Nurses pay more tax than billionaires because there are a lot more nurses than there are billionaires.

They don't each pay any more than a typical worker.

Do you know how they've minimized their tax? Was it $1 million of income or profit?
November 9, 2025 at 3:05 AM
That's another good question. Most consider people with 20% more than they have to be wealthy.

There's no good answer.
November 9, 2025 at 2:50 AM
Most wealthy people pay a lot of tax & if you have a way to ensure they pay more (without unfairly penalising others) then I'm sure the government would be interested to know.
