"I fell in love with her courage, her sincerity, and her flaming self respect. And it's these things I'd believe in, even if the whole world indulged in wild suspicions that she wasn't all she should be. I love her and it is the beginning of everything."

I feel like most folks working in development sector needs talk about mental health and therapy. Most are sensitive and hurting. This creates evnironment of mistrust and propagating the hurt further. I have been subjected to so much trauma justified in the name of 'because i was subjected with this'

I'm seeing a lot of bandwagon jumping blogs/training courses/seminars on for e.g. "ChatGPT in the classroom" encouraging us 'not to be afraid of AI' but so far precisely zero of these are considering the ethics, e.g. what's done with the info we feed it, whose labour we are profiting off etc. hbu?

I talked with brilliant @astra.bsky.social about insecurity: how bad economies create bad feelings, why we should expropriate CEOs for their own wellbeing, what a safe world for all of us looks like.

Organisations & Instituions working on public policy, climate change, water access & availability in development sector are more about gate keeping, propogating beuaraucracy, promotions and toxic culture than about working towards vision, and goals or focusing towards values - justice, human rights
