It's starting to happen, but how do you convince folks operating from a place of hate & fear to change the way they think? It never occurred to me to hate someone for the colour of their skin... How do I convince Harry Hatemonger that he doesn't need to be scared? That kindness comes in all colours.

I've long thought that kindness/justice needs a really good PR campaign. It needs to spread its tendrils across the internet as effectively as the bigotry/fascism have been able to (via the RW media machine).

I never wanted kids of my own, but i feel so privileged to be able to influence some young people's outlook and understanding of the world. All my nieces and nephews are going to grow up in extremely strange times that they will only ever know as normal. I'm glad, and sad, that i know The Before.

Realistically the choice will soon not be ours to make as more animals fall victim to disease and extreme weather events result in poor crop yields. There are simply too many people and too little appetite ($$$) for serious change. Earth will thin the (human) herd one way or another.

Yes, by design. These people never took a literature or history or philosophy class, much less allowed themselves to indulge in creative expression, and it shows.
