Woohoo, that’s so exciting! Have you done a starter with gluten before? I’m doing one currently but need to eventually convert to gf. I’m dragging my heels, but doing it via the sourdough starter route makes me more excited to launch into it

My SIL is a beekeeper in Oregon and loves it! The community has been so supportive for her. Good on you!

Yeah it’s bananas! I just found out late last night [Sat, Jan 25, 2025] that there were global protests against the inauguration. Had no idea even though I follow a lot of “”alt“” news sources. Big air quoties because they’re literally just independent journalists who aren’t married to legacy media

You’re not wrong, I’m just in a different place with it than I used to be. My timelines are pretty well curated everywhere else, it’s mostly the vibes of like… humanity as a whole right now.

Thanks. I added a few of the ones you mentioned earlier today plus some other nerdy hobby related ones. I’m disillusioned by social media as a whole so I’m not sure how much time I’ll spend over here, or any other platform, really
