Seemingly overnight, a bird’s nest was installed on the light outside my front door. Previously a pair of doves had tried to build there, but failed, and gave up after a couple of days. I wasn’t sure anything was living there. Today, I finally saw the birds.

I visited Chicago for the first time last weekend...

Actually brutalist, one of the science buildings. I only had one class in there, I think. Most of my time there was visiting my major advisor.
