Disappointing to see new car parks installed next to Met Éireann weather station at Shannon Airport. The station is now surrounded by tarmac car parks which is likely to influence the temperature in that area. Time to relocate station to a more open area surely?

Very frustrating for people in Roscrea, Cloughjordan, Nenagh, Birdhill, Castleconnel to get this from @irishrail.bsky.social. We don't get more services for St Patrick's festivities in Limerick, we get fewer. We get no services at all on Sunday, Monday morning or afternoon on bank holiday weekends.

through the weekend and into next week with bitterly cold air in place. If the low system on Sunday was placed a little further South it could bring some rain and snow where it meets colder air but very uncertain at present so bear that in mind for any forecast you read for Sunday.

Cold arrives tomorrow as rain clears South, staying cold up until Saturday but after that is still a little uncertain with risk of rain and milder air moving up on Sunday although the two main models are not in agreement as one shows that milder air and rain staying further South and keeping us cold

The Quaint Town of Nenagh in Ireland deserves a much better rail service as it was one of the places I had to arrive by bus and depart by train due to the very infrequent Irish Rail services to and from the town 🇮🇪

This is my happy place. Sorry for another snow reel but of all the weather I forecast and share snow is the reason I got a weather station and why I started Carlow Weather. I hope I’ll have some more snow hikes this winter. Clips from a little walk up to Mahon Falls today.

Eddie Hearn says if Croke Park was the same price as Wembley, ‘it would have already happened.’
