The only positives I got out of watching that movie were the reminder of how people in upper classes genuinely see themselves as being victimized by lower classes and the line 'you know I was a lesbian for awhile, but it was all too wet for me in the end. Men are so nice and dry'.

Ok no I have a better way to explain it to people who don't go to cemeteries for the sake of it, it reminds me of those mass graves where people are all packes together in rows in one big impersonal grave like sardines but they sprinkled tombstones on the top.

Also would be nice if I wasn't expected to be uncritically pleased with any sort of favorable reputation no matter how clumsy it is, like we should be grateful for crumbs that may fall upon us like mana from heaven. And if you aren't you risk getting lumped in with weird ass transphobes.

In my defense the impression I got from the ads was that it leaned more on horror than romance and the romance wasn't really romcom, which is misleading. There actually WAS another couple in the movie I think would've made it way more interesting if it had been from their perspective, but hey.

Some people just use top/bottom terminology the exact same way people in English fandom spaces used to commonly use uke/seme terminology. Like a copy and paste sort of thing since they can't get away with being as blatant about it as they used to.

Spite is a pissy cat with a house full of toys and treats to keep him satisfied if not outright happy and Justice is a jaguar stuck in a tiny enclosure with no enrichment who maybe occasionally gets thrown a scrap or two and has nothing to do other than pace around his enclosure.

Basically Spite is a pissy house cat that can bite the shit out of you and scratch your face off, Justice is closer to, I dunno, a jaguar or a mountain lion that could very easily kill you if it felt like it.

When Justice takes over Anders he basically rips control away from him like it's nothing.

I'm not saying Spite is easy to deal with, but if you told me I had to pick between him or Justice on the verge of evolving into Vengeance possessing me I would take Spite without hesitation.

Seeing how different it is when the spirit takes control signals their difference in power too. With Lucanis Spite is usually fairly subtle to the point where you may not notice after first. He can certainly have outbursts, but even then Lucanis can at least put up a fight.

Spite is about pettiness and justice/vengeance is about a deep conviction over unfairness. Spite gets to constantly satisfy his 'purpose' by killing people who try to hurt him and Lucanis but Justice and Anders are stuck in Kirkwall constantly stewing over how powerless they are to help most people.

I do appreciate that they kinda tried to remedy this a tiny bit in datv, Emmrich and Harding have banter where they talk about him and it turns out Dorian studied under Emmrich for awhile, but apparently he wasn't terribly respectful about it.
