Clever use of different materials. How did you attach the brass to the PLA?

I haven’t thought of that exact same thing when working on a portrait. But I’ve for sure learned that if I want my subject to appear relaxed and natural, that starts with my mannerisms the moment we begin to work. It is possible to work quickly and efficiently without being frantic.

The idea of slowing down is something I work on all the time. Too often, we gage success by how fast, how many and how often we do things.

Are you suggesting that chemical engineers using data derived from extensive lab testing might be more effective in delivering good results than lore passed on from one YouTuber to another?

I’d second D76/ID11 or HC110 as an excellent choice. I see so many people jumping around using different developer/film combos and never understanding why something worked or didn’t work as expected. It’s all just guess work at that point. Don’t get me started on “stand” development.

While I completely understand the fun in trying a bunch of different developers, and films for that matter, sticking with a single choice and maybe 2 different films is really beneficial. It’s the best way to really learn what’s happening and how to make effective adjustments.

Looks like a fun location.

It has a very painterly style of composition. Reminds me of 60’s modern art. Well put together!

I love the functionality and form factor of the G1. And definitely a great looking camera.

Totally into this composition. The shapes and lines are great.

I’ll be curious to hear how you like the G1. I had one for about 20 years. But I’ll save my opinions until you’ve formed your own. Like others have said, the 45 is a fantastic lens.

The OM 3 and 4 metering is pretty cool. Not too dissimilar from the Minolta Spot Meter F.

AI used to do the tedious shit is AI being used correctly. Using AI to make your creative decisions and we’ll need to have a talk.

The “unedited” scan folks come to mind. Always gets a chuckle and an eye roll from me.

Nice pop on this one!

Time will tell. I bet CF and SD cards will be viable long after many of the devices that used them no longer are.

The chipped versions communicate the battery levels and status to the camera like a factory battery. The cheaper versions don’t do that. Seemed worth the extra $10 bucks or so.

I have old pics stored on floppy disks. Haven’t seen a functional reader in years!

I bought a Wasabi Power battery. Spent the bit extra for the version with the chip. Had it a couple years. No complaints so far.

Nice colors! Looks SO cold!

I’ve long theorized that bad batteries will be what keep most digital cameras from being useful when they’re 30+ years old. That and lost chargers.
November 11, 2025 at 12:19 AM
I’ve purchased new 3d party batteries, for cameras that no longer have a new manufacturer made option, on Amazon with good results. Everything works and charges as expected. New life for old tech.

In my inbox tonight… $2k! Nope!

Tent lighting.

I just ordered some supplies to give it a try. I do like the idea of imperfections. One of my major complaints about digital prints as an art object is that they are infinitely repeatable and easy to make flawless, and therefore have very little value. So this process has a lot of appeal.
