I just put in a complaint. Not that it will make a blind bit of difference of course, but couldn't let it lie. The lean into misinformation is not necessarily surprising, but the mistakes are so amateurish. I expect better from our local paper let alone the BBC.

Well you are lucky. I work in Monaghan and my protestant colleague showed me some of the horrific comments under every post of Humphries on every platform. And have also heard in person some casual sectarianism from ordinary, not terminally online, people.
