On Saturday, I was out with a group of people for dinner/drinks. Staff was slow refilling the water because they were busy so I head over to the table with the rest of our group and grab one of their water pitchers. People give me a bit of a weird look but we pour the water and life moves on.

The bots have definitely started to show up more. I'm getting follows from the accounts that only ask for money in the replies or have women scantily clad and no real content. Report and block and move on. Moderation service seems to be doing a kick ass job keeping up too.

I'm not sure if it's because I'm not good at making concise statements or if Blue Sky just encourages more communication, but I often find myself hitting the character limits and having to use multiple threaded posts, even as a reply.

I made a couple skeets today that weren't 100% in the group think column and it was amazing how quickly people got rude. I thought things were supposed to be better here than the other place, but today was a bit of a disappointment.

One of the bad things about taking the early train to work is that while yes, I can be productive before people realize I'm there, I'm also ready to be home at like 1pm. Plus, they learn to expect me early and that's a mistake for both of us. 😂

Got the 2024 Covid-19 vaccine yesterday afternoon after discussing it with my GP. I'm definitely having some side effects today, mainly a bit of a sore arm, burning eyes, and feeling a bit run down. I absolutely don't regret it as my last microchip's battery had gone dead.

I need to spend more time curating my feed. I've found some new people to follow and followed some old follows from the other place as they've migrated over, but my feed is still a bit slow at times. Removing all the trolls and bots really slowed things down in my discover. 😂

My 2 cents. Find every news source the has an RSS feed or equivalent and create accounts that that show their public deeds on here under @johndoetimesfeed
That way we all get access to news without having to wait for them to create accounts first.

Just checked on my bird app feed and holy moly has it slowed. The few people left that are still posting... I don't care to really see anymore. There are a few company accounts that haven't made the jump but eh, I only follow them to complain at their customer support. 😇
