In Part 2 her character tells Michael she's rejecting his version of masculinity when she tells him about aborting the fetus who would have been their son. Keaton gets the audience to understand it even if Michael doesn't.

In the novel the theme of the rejection of the feminine is a little more explicit. In the film Keaton has to carry it on her face to let the audience know what's going on.

At the end of Part 1 Michael lies to her character, then goes into a room with other men. The door is shut in her face. Her expression tells us she knows he lied, and that he has chosen to reject the feminine part of his life.

FBI spied on environmentalists in the 1990s, opponents of the Iraq war in the 2000s, Occupy Wall Street, and Black Lives Matter. Congress put some constraints on them and they ignored them with impunity, as Congress intended.

These are the exact same agencies, with the exact same mindsets.

America didn't create it, we just kept it after European Christian countries had moved on from it.

You can trace intolerant, hateful, authoritarian Christianity all the way back to Constantine, maybe earlier.
