This new study is another great example of the impactful, lifesaving work that will occur in our new large animal hospital!

Last night we had the pleasure of awarding the NC State CVM Distinguished Alumni Award to Dr. Cheryl Stroud. Dr. Stroud completed her PhD at NC State College of Veterinary Medicine and went on to be a true trail blazer in One Health- the link between animal, human and environmental health!

Dr. Pedro Diniz,Western University of Health Sciences presented on "Empowering the Wolfpack: Potential and Pitfalls of GenAI in Veterinary Education"at @ncstatevetmed.bsky.social. He provided insight to consider how to use this new technology as additive support for our training programs.

Last weekend we had a wonderful educational event on Disaster Preparedness at @ncstatevetmed.bsky.social for veterinarians from @tamu.bsky.social 's Dr. Deb Zoran!

A @ncstatevetmed.bsky.social study demonstrated that hospitalized dogs and cats experience sleep disturbances similar to those reported in human ICU patients and supports finding efforts to promote patient sleep in the veterinary intensive care setting.

AABP funded @ncstatevetmed.bsky.social 's Dr Gamsjaeger & team to study a simplified vaccine schedule to prevent neonatal diarrhea in beef calves.
Neonatal calf diarrhea is a major cause of death in calves -this important study will evaluate the use of a single vaccine to prevent disease!
