It turned out that the administration of George W. Bush had already considered — and answered — that question. Bush's Office of Legal Counsel published a 29-page document in 2005 concluding that the president "need not personally perform the physical act of affixing his signature to a bill he approves and decides to sign in order for the bill to become law." "Rather, the President may sign a bill ... by directing a subordinate to affix the President's signature to such a bill, for example by autopen," it reads.

He's got big brown eyes and his ears are so far back they disappeared. Some chairs and bookcases in the background. Ignore the ramboard path on the floor, the house is having work done. *Note that me squeezing his head and giving him kisses don't happen at the same time. He can always move to avoid the kisses, etc, but never does. That's why I figure he likes it. That and he does this every hour or so, with reliable reactions from me, so it's not like he doesn't know it's coming. Please don't come at me and tell me I don't know how to read his body language or whatever.

Yes. I think there are people we're never going to reach, so I won't spare their feelings.
People arguing in the comments of a news story following one person saying "live by the sword, die by the sword." The last one is highlighted for emphasis and says, "dude was assassinated for speaking and you're conflating it with gun violence. Wow." Because these folks think gun violence only happens to other people. Like it's not true gun violence unless it comes from the urban violence region in the south of Chicago. Otherwise it's just sparkling assassination.

He found (and killed) an armadillo before I could get the hose on him to drop it.

I had to wipe blood off his face.
Then I had to bag up the body so he wouldn't be able to eat and roll in it.

He does not understand why I won't cuddle him yet. He's up to date on all his shots, but ... yuck.

It's 2 a.m., I've just finished Tepper's novel "Grass" and I'm kinda scared to sleep. It was great, but now my brain is too full and some of what it's full of is nightmare fuel.
