Clearly peace isn't the aim. Capitulation whilst being able to tell American voters someone else (Zelensky) is to blame. This is Munich without the figleaf of good intentions.

Similar. I argued that appeasement with rearmament was a rational choice with the information available (overestimating German preparedness and underestimating Hitler's ruthlessness). My supervisor was having none of it but I stand by it.
