In St. Louis, a historical marker is going up for a prison where a slave trader kept Black people he bought and sold. It’ll be located on what sits there now: a parking garage for the Cardinals baseball stadium. The team declined to contribute money toward the marker. www.stlpr.org/culture-hist...

The bronze historical plaque will be installed at the site of a slave prison once owned by Bernard M. Lynch, a nationally known trader of enslaved men, women and children.
