Nothing like making your own self cry sending messages to loved ones about how thankful you are for them. I am so blessed and lucky to have amazing people in my corner.

On Christmas Eve, I received a letter from the county letting me know that my driveway permit was approved and that my driveway was built to code. Great news, but I didn’t recall ever applying for a driveway permit, and I’ve lived in my house with this driveway for 15 years.

If you’re going to claim to dress every (body), you really should use a picture that shows an actual variety of bodies. This ain’t it.

I generally do fine with being alone most of the time. I’ve gotten very comfortable in my own company. But I’ve been inside my house alone with COVID since late Friday evening and I’m starting to go a little stir-crazy.

I love watching everyone get so excited about the northern lights. They’re one of my favorite parts about living where I do. Unfortunately, I can’t enjoy them with you this time. It’s too light here!

It is literally more than 70° warmer than this time two weeks ago. And it’s only 43°. February is wild.

Coming home at 1 AM from a two-week trip to a non-functional furnace in -15° temperatures is not my idea of a good time. Thank goodness it seems to have only been out for a day or two and the garage (where the water comes in) was still warm. No frozen pipes at least.

I guess on the five-year anniversary of a 7.1 quake, it’s only appropriate that we get a little 5.0 reminder quake.

One of the sneaky benefits of being single and living near (and doing every holiday with) my family of origin is that…no one really expects anything from me for holidays. I’ve appointed myself to bring a festive punch tomorrow. That’s it. My parents and my sister-in-law’s family will do the rest.

I got boosted against COVID and got my flu shot, so the universe was like, “Cool, cool, you don’t want those. That’s fine. How about Hand Foot and Mouth Disease instead?”

Opened the window shade on the plane at the perfect time!
