Brilliant!
This is a really thoughtful and interesting article on our current #PeerReview system in #AcademicPublishing by Adam Mastroianni.

Absolutely worth the read. And you can then spend even more time reading the really interesting follow-up articles.

Thanks for having me and allowing me the opportunity to spread the word about plant mass spec imaging and the latest development from our #PlantMSI facility.
The afternoon session, with very nice talks by Nanna Bjarnholt, Natalia Dudareva, Ying Li, and Tomas Laursen #wpd25, #Petunia, #PlantScience

A bit belated, but no less happy: Two papers are out 🥳 with results from #PlantMSI, my emerging facility for plant Mass Spectrometry Imaging!

From two awesome collabs came one on alkaloid biosynthesis in lupins (DOI: 10.1111/nph.20384) w Fernando Geu-Flores in NewPhyt & now this in Science 👇🤩
Through an amazing collaboration with researchers at University of Copenhagen: @nbjarnholt.bsky.social ,Christoph Crocoll and Daniel Persson, we were able to image nutrients and metabolites inside nodules with and without formation of barriers!

One more day now until the @plantcellatlas.bsky.social virtual Spatial Metabolomics Workshop. We are spreading out over multiple time zones, but it will still be hard to be awake for all of the great talks - but fret not, if you sign up you can watch the recorded talks later in your own time!
The Spatial Metabolomics workshop is just TWO days away!!

I participated in a faculty panel a few weeks ago in which senior (ahem) faculty gave advice on careers in academia by pretending luck had very little to do with our success. One piece of advice riled me up, in which it was argued that a reason for their success was their ability to say no. 1/
